Assoc. Prof. Masria Mustafa - Mobility in Malaysia and its Challenges of Today


Am Donnerstag, 7. März findet ein Gastvortrag von Assoc. Prof. Masria Mustafa aus Malaysia statt. Das Thema lautet „Mobility in Malaysia and its Challenges of Today“. Sie wird uns einen Einblick in die derzeitige Situation des Verkehrssystems in Malaysia geben und ein Herausforderungen für die zukünftige Mobilität ansprechen. Der Vortrag ist gratis und öffentlich für alle interessierte Personen zugänglich.

Informationen zur Vortragenden:

Dr. –Ing. Masria Mustafa, is presently an Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi MARA. Her main areas of expertise are: Traffic Simulation and Modeling, Traffic Operation and Control, Driver Behavior, Intelligent Transport System (ITS) and Advancement of Women in Transportation.

In July 2004, she moved to Bangkok to pursue a Master Degree study under the sponsorship of ASEAN University Network/Southeast Asia Engineering Education Development Network (AUN/SEED-Net) in Transportation and Traffic Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, which she completed in 2006. This formed the basis for her PhD from Technical University of Munich, Germany, which was successfully defended in 2010. She has underwent several journey process with different scope and scale of research. She has supervised Postgraduate students at Master and PhD level and some of them had already graduated. She is currently the head of (Transportation Systems, Infrastructure & Intelligent Transport (TranSIIT) RIG.

The highlight of her career was when she successfully won the Australia-Malaysia ‘Towards 2020’ Executive Award which enable her to undertake a 10 week award placement with the Department of Planning, Transport, and Infrastructure (DPTI), South Australia Government. The award was presented by The Hon Julie Bishop MP, the Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs back then. To date, she has published various documents comprises of international journals and proceedings, conferences, and chapter in book. She is also active entering innovation competition and has won several medals.
