Lebenslauf

Blaž Lokar was born in 1976 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Since founding a NGO “ZaMestoPoDveh” (directly translated as for-cities-on-two), Blaz has been a vocal advocate for improving the conditions for walking, cycling and PT in Ljubljana. He served the City Council Board for Urban Planning in Ljubljana since 2010 with primary objective to ensure that principles of human-scale urbanism and sustainable mobility are considered in all cities policies and spatial documents. Blaz’s vision is a city where quality of life is the highest priority achieved in close collaboration of result-driven decisions makers, actively involved citizens and state-of-the-art urban professionals.
